A basic pair of wood sticks was used in the recording session with a thin layer of felt tied on very quickly and crudely. Cloyd wanted something available like that, which was extremely bright but more thoughtfully covered, so we decided on this chamois version of that stick. The shaft is similar to the 8 but with a different turned end 1″ in diameter and covered with extremely tight chamois. Laser engraved, hand-sanded, hand-pitched\/weighed, and six layers of finish.
