This new version of the TFS2 has been around for a while but now is finally revised and refined. The core is identical to a felt S2 (specs) but is made of cork so it is less than half the weight. This equates to a much less top heavy feel, without losing any of the rebound the mallet is known for, creating a very balanced feel between the head weight and shaft weight. More nimble, less bottom end to the sound and slightly more clear in projection than the felt core version. Covering is identical to the standard felt core TFS2, same felt wrap with adhesive green disc on top to delineate from S2, and available on either Tonkin shafts or carbon fiber shafts.
