The Duff 8 is an essential wood timpani mallet. Highest grade American hickory which is pre-selected for weight and pitch before it's even turned. Classic bulb-shaped head for excellent head contact whether playing timpani flat or tilted. Laser engraved, hand-sanded, hand-pitched/weighed and six layers of finish. Recommended for any timpani passages/repertoire requiring wood sticks. Extremely hard.
