Lorenzo Belardi was born in 1978, and lives and works in Florence, Italy. He did not follow the modern classical path of attending a violin making school. Instead, he preferred the path of ancient violin makers, that is, frequenting violin makers' workshops. Initially, he started as self-taught, but then fell in love with the Trentino luthier Luca Primon, who had 25 years of experience teaching at the famous Scuola Civica in Milan. With Maestro Primon, he began to see how to build an instrument professionally. At the same time, he also attended a violin-making course conceived by Primon, again in his hometown. When Maestro Luca PRIMON passed away, he embarked on a training path with Maestro Davide Sora from Cremona, which continues to this day.
