Lorenzo Belardi was born in 1978, lives and works in Florence, Italy. He did not follow the modern classical path of attending a violin making school. Still, he preferred the path of the ancient violin makers, that is, frequenting the violin makers’ workshops. Initially, he started as a self-taught person, but then fell in love with the Trentino luthier Luca Primon, who had 25 years of experience teaching at the famous Scuola Civica in Milan. With maestro Primon, he began to see how to build an instrument professionally. At the same time, he also attended a violin-making course conceived by him, again in his hometown. When Maestro Luca PRIMON left us, he undertook the training path with Maestro Davide Sora from Cremona, which still continues today.
