Perpetual is a new formula launched by Pirastro in 2020. It immediately attracted a lot of attention when it was released because it has an extremely short adaptation time and players can immediately feel the stability of Perpetual after installation. Perpetual uses innovative materials and production methods, and is extremely responsive, allowing players to easily and freely pull the strings, and even very soft forces can produce a solid, focused and penetrating sound.

Perpetual offers three cello sets to suit different playing styles:

- The Soloist Medium set enhances the penetration and clarity of G and C, while A and D pursue a warmer sound.
- The Medium set features Pirastro's signature warm sound, but with enhanced intensity on G and C, and bright, clear sound on A and D.

Pirastro was founded by Italian luthier Giorgio Pirazzi in 1798 and later based in Germany.
