Product Description

The strings were made of thin steel and tungsten wound with elastic screws. Its unique tone and durability were considered a revolutionary new product at the time. The sound quality is stable and focused, with longer resonance and significantly reduced string resistance. The strings are equally powerful and responsive when bowed or plucked, and are recognized as the "standard for cello strings."

brand

Thomastik-Infeld was founded in 1919 in Austria by luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and civil engineer Otto Infeld, and began making steel strings in the music capital "Vienna". In 1970, the Dominant string was launched and was praised by the famous violinist Itzhak Perlman. It became the brand's classic product for many years and established Thomastik-Infeld's irreplaceable position in the string industry. The company was run by Peter Infeld from 1994 until his death in 2009. It is now run by Zdenka Infeld, who has been committed to developing new formulas during this period. In 2019, the brand celebrated its 100th anniversary.
