Tuning Slide Grease* is a lubricating product specially designed for the tuning slide* or valve slide* of brass instruments (such as trumpet, trombone, French horn, etc.). It is mainly used in the following situations:
1. When to use?
✅ *When the tuning tube is stuck or does not move smoothly*
- If the tuning pipe is difficult to push (especially if it has not been maintained for a long time or the climate is dry), apply a small amount of lubricant to restore smoothness.
- Applicable to *Main Tuning Slide, 2nd/3rd Valve Slide*, etc.
✅ Regular maintenance (to prevent sticking)
- Even if the slide is functioning properly, it is recommended to reapply *every 3-6 months* after cleaning the old grease to avoid oxidation or seizure.
- A humid environment can shorten the maintenance interval (prevent corrosion caused by moisture).
✅When changing lubricant type
- If you originally used liquid oil (such as Slide Oil) but found that it was not durable enough, you can use a paste lubricant to enhance sealing and durability.
