This new version of the TFS2H is identical to a felt S2H (specs) but is made of cork so it is less than half the weight. This equates to a much less top heavy feel, without losing any of the rebound the mallet is known for, creating a very balanced feel between the head weight and shaft weight. More nimble, less bottom end to the sound and slightly more clear in projection than the felt core version. Covering is identical to the standard felt core S2H (thin green hard wool felt) and call S2CH. Both are available on either Tonkin shafts or carbon fiber shafts.
